Investment Decision Making for an Energy Productive Australia was a workshop developed by A2SE for the World Resources Forum Asia-Pacific presented in Sydney in early June 2015. Speakers addressed the energy productivity opportunity, decision-making frameworks for investment, international perspectives on emerging business models, and leveraging energy benefits from capex and technological innovation. The session featured international expert Dick van Beers from the Collaborating Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production in Germany along with Graham Bryant (Simplot), Mary Stewart (Energetics), Anita Stadler (A2SE) and Mike Smith (Energy Change Institute, ANU).

The World Resources Forum Asia-Pacific was hosted by the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney and SMaRT@UNSW. The insightful and interactive program featured international experts from industry, government and academia from Japan, Korea, India, USA, Europe and Australia. The forum aimed to promote broad collaboration and embed resource and energy productivity in domestic and international policy. Themes included: new business models for a circular world, technology and innovation; industrial symbiosis, wealth from waste, future metals, technology and financing, green manufacturing, resource governance, geopolitics and social responsibility.
